Leading industry journal ‘Tyre Trade News’ recently did a piece on Giuliano Automotive UK in their January edition of the magazine. Tyre Trade News is a longstanding publication, and widely recognised as the ‘must-read’ medium for the tyre industry. Their article on Giuliano demonstrates the presence we have in the UK, and we are delighted to support them and use TTN as a platform to communicate to the wider market as we further establish the ‘G’ as a recognised hallmark for premium quality tyre equipment.

It’s been a manic first week back for the Giuliano team, installing our tyre equipment to all 4 corners of the country! After a lot of miles, Friday was a PDI day, and the lads have been busy building and testing all the balancers due to go out next week.
Tyre changers have traditionally always used 2 clamping cylinders to power 4 clamping ‘jaws’ (there was, in fact, a machine produced once that used just one cylinder, but needless to say it didn’t catch on).
When you want to be immersed in the product you are responsible for, there is no substitute for getting hands-on experience of the theory, function and manufacturing first-hand. That is exactly what we enjoyed this week when the U.K. team visited our parent factory in Correggio, Italy, for more in-depth training on the new 2026 ‘Gen P’ wheel balancer range.
As the author of this article, I write with the benefit of 35 years in the tyre industry, specifically in the supporting category of supplying equipment, such as tyre changers and wheel balancers.
I have worked through two very serious economic recessions, both of which had an undoubtedly negative effect on trade, but that came with a kind of ‘safeguard’ that countered the negativity. That safeguard related to the fact that, whilst business was affected, in simple terms, it could have been worse
The first delivery of our new Gen P wheel balancer line arrived today at our Cambridgeshire warehouse. So, when we got a call earlier in the week from Wisbech-based Warman Wheels to say they needed a new balancer, we thought the timing would be pretty good.
But alas, it wasn’t!
Although all of the people and many of the products certainly aren’t new to the UK market, the team at Giuliano Automotive UK made their first ever public appearance under the new guise at the recent Mechanex exhibition at Sandown Park. Being seasoned show-goers, we knew what to expect, and have watched the attendee and nature of their visit change massively over the last 2 or 3 decades. The advent of the internet, online videos, and modern media have all led to shows being perhaps less essential as they once were, and have subsequently become more of a flag-waving exercise rather than having a tangible sales outcome.
At Giuliano Automotive UK we don’t do ‘ordinary’. Whether it is our patented, unique Power X Clamping System on ALL of our tyre changers, or the ergonomic design and aesthetically-pleasing designs of our new ‘Gen P’ wheel balancer range, we are always looking to be different, through innovation and ingenuity.
And it was a moment of ingenuity that led to our unique phone greeting that customers are welcomed with when calling our office. We have employed a system that will get you straight through to one of our experts; there is no waiting for a call back or overwhelming choice of options.
So, you’re a busy tyre shop who has always invested in good equipment. You appreciate the value in buying a quality product, and you embrace new technology provided it adds value in terms of capability and longevity. The bias in ratio towards low profile tyres and ‘exotic’ alloy rims you see is increasing every year, and you need to ensure your next purchase prepares you for the future, so what tyre machine do you buy next? This has to be a question that faces so many tyre shop owners and managers, and it is a question we love to have posed to us because we believe we have the ideal solution in the Giuliano SX229 Pro. Let us explain why…
When we first saw the all-new P45 Wheel Balancer, the first thing that came into our heads was “Ray Winstone”! We were all in agreement. The moment the design was unveiled, a knowing look, a gentle smirk, and I think we may have even all uttered the same words under our breath. But what could celebrity Hollywood A-Lister and East End ‘geezer’ Ray Winstone possibly have in common with a Giuliano wheel balancing machine
