When we were approached by one of our distributors for advice on a request they’d had for one of their customers, it wasn’t a conventional garage or tyre shop enquiry. This particular customer wanted equipment for their own in-house use, ensuring they could service their own fleet of vehicles.
Petit Forestier were founded in 1907 and operate in more than 20 countries, and specialise in the rental of specialist refrigerated transport. These vehicles are used for transporting everything from chilled foods to sensitive medical provisions, and the company has 10 locations across the UK, with fully equipped workshops to cater for their own needs.
Every week we are hitting all 4 corners of the U.K. installing our famous tyre equipment (as well as the occasional jaunt over to the Isle Of Wight, Channel Islands etc), so it made a nice change to have a job that was, quite literally, within walking distance of our office!

Last week our newest recruit, Chris Jones aka Jonah, installed a Balco balancer and tyre changer to a very happy customer in Hull. With wheel alignment being his first passion (yeah weird, right?!), he naturally got talking to the customer about alignment, and consequently arranged to go back today to demonstrate our Balco i-Lign 2 8CCD system.

Chris Jones, our latest addition to the Giuliano Automotoive UK team, hit the ground running with his first installation just 3 days into his new position. The all-new i-Lign 2 CCD aligner was a hit with the customer, who needed something compatible with a 2 post lift. The i-Lign 2 is ideal for workshops limited on space, using a compact, portable trolley in place of traditional bulky cabinets, and a portable magnetic tablet replacing the PCs commonly used in the past.
