Every week we are hitting all four corners of the UK installing our famous tyre equipment (as well as the occasional jaunt over to the Isle Of Wight, Channel Islands etc), so it made a nice change to have a job that was, quite literally, within walking distance of our office!

Huge congratulations to The Tyre Hub, in Oundle, near Peterborough, as they opened the doors with a soft launch of their new venture. With Oundle being a very affluent area, it was no surprise to us when the guys behind The Tyre Hub stressed that they wanted to invest in ‘high-end’ equipment, ensuring they could deal with the premium marques fitted with exotic rims and low profile tyres that are commonplace in the area. And so, having guided them through the various benefits of the different models, they settled on a great combo that consisted of our ubiquitous SX228 Pro Tyre Changer, P56 Pro wheel balancer, and i-Lign 2 CCD wheel alignment system.
 

SX228 Pro Tyre Changer

The SX228 Pro Tyre Changer is a busy tyre shop staple, boasting our patented PowerX 4 cylinder turntable clamping up to 29” without the need for any adjustments, and the game-changing DualForce bead breaker, which can be used by hand and/or foot control and can be stopped and started at will. Available in Leverless or traditional levered version, the 228’s industrial strength chassis and main column mean it really is capable in high-volume environments.

P56 Pro Wheel Balancer

The P56 Pro is our flagship wheel balancer, and features a luxury specification such as Touch Screen display, fully-automatic 3D operation, and the convenience of our automatic clamping. The SX228 Pro and P56 Pro package means that the Tyre Hub really are prepared for whatever comes through the door. 

i-Lign 2 Wheel Alignment System

Lastly, no tyre bay would be complete without a reliable ‘tracking’ system to take advantage of all the alignment jobs created by tyres and potholes! The i-Lign 2 was an obvious choice for The Tyre Hub; being compact and practical, yet feature-rich with its ability to pull up the exact vehicle data via the licence plate, simple operation and convenient tablet operation. These guys will even be able to use it on either their 2 poster or their dual-revenue MOT/Alignment 4 poster!

A High-End Tyre Machine Installation

We didn’t get good photos of the installation yet as the final layout and completion of workshop fittings and MOT bay is still to be done, but we are sure the finished article will live up to the prestigious level of garage equipment these guys have invested in.
