Giuliano SX226 Pro Tyre Changer

A staple for tyre shops and garages throughout the UK for many years, the SX226 Pro is the machine that led to an industry becoming awash with the standard ‘fully-automatic tyre machine with assist arm’ offerings in every range and from every brand. However, thanks to a progressive development in line with rims and tyres as they too evolve, the SX226 Pro can still be set apart from the competition for a number of very important reasons. For as start, the chassis and main column are designed in a way that, whilst more expensive to produce, provides a much stronger arrangement, not only increasing the life, but making it far safer for alloy or painted rims along the way. Then there is the turntable, which uses our famous Power X system incorporating 4 clamping cylinders, instead of the cheaper and unquestionably inferior 2 cylinders typically employed. Alongside other less obvious advantages such as the large diameter bead breaker chamber which delivers 20% more power than average, or removable pedal box which is a godsend if one ever needs to replace a pedal spring, the SX226 Pro utilises our oft-copied (never equalled) HP4 assist arm. The HP4 is, as the model number suggests, the 4th generation of the HP arm which was launched some 20 years ago, and has gone on to become the most imitated design in the business! However, this latest version has set the bar again, with the new additional roller, meaning that as wheels have got even larger, fitting and removing low profile tyres remains as easy as it is safe.
