Giuliano SX229 Pro Tyre Changer

A Team UK Favourite!
The new design for high-volume tyre fitting and removal.
When our factory first started producing tyre changers back in the ’70s, the classic ‘swing arm’ was very much the standard for the tyre industry. Then along came the ‘tilt-back’; a model that was faster to use, kinder to alloy rims, and generally stronger due to its design that replaced the vertical swivel pin with a horizontal pivot pin. Fast forward a few decades and we are starting to see a repeat of this evolutionary process as more and more customers are moving towards the Par-Move design. Par-Move uses a fixed, cylindrical main column, eliminating altogether the pivot pin and tilting mechanism used in traditional tilt-back machines – and this is the first major improvement in rigidity and strength. Then, the automatic operation and performance of a tilt-back model is provided via the ‘Par-Move’ parallelogram design feature. This patented design allows the operator to position the demount head (which can be leverless or fitted with a traditional demount head) directly against the rim and, at the press of a button, the ‘head’ or removal finger moves up and away approximately 2mm, providing clearance from the rim. Extensive structural tests have proven that the Par-Move design is stronger and safer than any traditional tilt or swing arm machine. However, the benefits don’t end there. Due to the fixed column structure, the SX229 can be positioned up against the wall, eliminating the need for any room behind the machine. The DualForce™ bead breaker gives the user the option to use a rocker-pedal located in the traditional position when using the bead breaker, or a thumb button, giving full control of the shovel. The ‘toggle’ movement on both pedal and thumb control can be stopped and started at any position, unlike the traditional piston-type bead breaker which is forced to travel fully in and out.
Another patented Giuliano feature is the ‘Lever No Lever’ system, which offers the unique ability to switch between traditional (demount head and lever) operation and leverless.
Nowadays, so many workshops are moving to leverless technology. However, there are still occasions where the traditional method is still useful, most notably larger profile tyres with more elasticity in the sidewall (the polar opposite to run-flat). By switching from leverless to lever, which is done at the turn of a hand, the operator has the best of both worlds.
Make no mistake, the SX229 Pro is unique in every way, and there is a reason why it is the fastest growing design in its class.

Industry Leading Warranty Package – Our unique ‘Multi-Tier’ Warranty means that you can enjoy up to 5 years’ peace of mind on certain key components (the expensive ones that can easily retire a machine ordinarily), with 3 years on all of the remaining components, and a 2 year coverage for labour. This extent of warranty has been carefully considered to ensure that the cost of ownership of Giuliano is demonstrably lower than comparable competitors’ machines.
Par-Move™
The patented Par-Move design offers a number of technical advantages. Firstly, it is incredibly strong. That is, even stronger than the strongest tilt-arm machine. It also saves space, eliminating the need for space behind the machine for the column to tilt backwards. The reliability of this design is something we are so confident about, that the machine comes with a 5 year warranty on all components relating to the Par-Move mechanism.

Lever No Lever (LNL)
Can’t decide whether you are ready to move to leverless operation yet, or if you should stick with the traditional method of using a tyre lever? Don’t worry, you don’t have to make a choice between the two. The LNL (Lever No Lever) system allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds. Still predominantly a leverless machine (when you start to use it, there is no turning back), the ability to switch to lever is not so much to cling on to an old habiyt, but to specifically cater for those ‘baggy’ tyres where a lever is actually still the fastest method. With LNL, the operator can simply switch between the desired method at the turn of a hand.
