Tyre changers have traditionally always used 2 clamping cylinders to power 4 clamping ‘jaws’ (there was, in fact, a machine produced once that used just one cylinder, but needless to say it didn’t catch on). With a two-cylinder system, only two of the clamps are driven by a pneumatic cylinder. The others are merely synchronised to simulate the effect of four clamping jaws.

With our patented design, we have a cylinder dedicated to each jaw, which provides more secure, and perfect clamping of the rim and is more versatile in its ability to clamp a wider range of rim sizes.
