Handspin technology first came to prominence in the 1990’s, and was designed for conventional workshops as a lower cost and space-saving alternative to the typically large balancers of the day. The application for mobile operators actually came about almost by accident because of the ability to operate from a 12v battery. Since then, motorised balancers have become more compact, and prices have come down, which has led to handspin machines being seen as the preserve of mobile installations. However, anyone looking to invest in tyre equipment for the first time shouldn’t be afraid to choose a model like the P20, because it is every bit as capable as machines 5 times the price and can represent a sensible choice regardless of circumstances.
Unlike other ‘handspin’ machines which generally require manual data input of the rim, the P20 offers totally automatic (3D) data entry, using our combination of Automatic Data Entry arm and intelligent software to acquire the rim data. Simply pull out the measuring arm to choose your weight positions, and the data is entered automatically.
The P20 can be configured with or without the anchoring base, which is supplied as standard along with durable wheels in the event it is to be used trackside or in any situation where portability is a must.

Self-Calibration – This means you don’t need a qualified engineer to calibrate your balancer, you can do it yourself. Actually, most balancers have self-calibration, but in reality the supplier normally wants to charge you for doing it.
NWN Calibration – in the unlikely event you should ever need to calibrate your balancer, we’ve made it even easier with our clever NWN (No Wheel Needed) function. This means the process can be carried out without the need for a suitable calibration wheel. This really does negate the need to pay for an engineer visit, because chances are you probably don’t have a suitable rim for calibration, let alone a factory-style calibration rig.
Industry Leading Warranty Package – Our unique ‘Multi-Tier’ Warranty means that you can enjoy up to 5 years’ peace of mind on certain key components (the expensive ones that can easily retire a machine ordinarily), with 3 years on all of the remaining components, and a 2 year coverage for labour.
