There is no better testament to a successful product than a customer’s high praise and approval, and it is even more powerful when the praise comes autonomously and with complete spontaneity!
That is what happened when Roxanne, aka ‘The Tyre Girl‘, lent a colleague her mobile fitting van, and the feedback on her tyre machine was more than just complimentary. Roxy’s colleague described her tyre changer, a Giuliano Sbacy, as being a machine that just ‘made easy work of everything’ and requiring no effort from the operator.
The Tyre Changer of Choice – Giuliano Sbacy
The Sbacy is a machine that was designed from the ground up for mobile tyre fitting. The remit to the R&D team in Italy was to come up with the product that offered the best coverage of any machine on the market, whilst maintaining the smallest possible footprint, height and weight. A tough ask and a little bit paradoxical in the request itself, the ‘brains behind the products’ nevertheless came up with a design that looked like the seemingly impossible might just be doable.
The UK team then involved an experienced mobile tyre fitter to get real-life feedback and suggestions. With some minor tweaks, the finished article was what was to become the Sbacy, a product that boasted luxury features such as the patented PowerX 4 cylinder turntable, a highly capable and class-leading clamping and rim width capacity, and leverless operation as standard (which can be removed for those old-school fitters – Roxy notably had the traditional lever version), all packaged in a chassis that met the criteria for being compact and weight-conscious.

The Sbacy has since gained momentum to the extent that the team at Giuliano see it becoming an industry staple, much as the previous generation swing-arm 12v machines have.
Assembled in the UK, the Sbacy can be configured to the operator’s preference and van layout. As well as the choice between levered or leverless, the Sbacy has 4 different options for ‘assist arm’ additions, ranging from none at all to the fully-loaded version which provides multiple pneumatic bead pressing and lifting tools located both sides of the machine.
